Life is Blood – MaxBet Celebrates 4th Anniversary of Successful Blood Donation Campaign Launch

MaxBet Group has celebrated the fourth anniversary of the launching of its regular blood donation campaign, which it organizes in cooperation with the Blood Transfusion Institute.

The latest in the range of campaigns was organized in the premises of the Marsal outlet in Nis. MaxBet donated a mobile bed for donors to the Blood Transfusion Institute on that occasion, to the end of creating better conditions and easier organization of campaigns of this type.

– When we were preparing the first blood donation campaign at our outlet in Novi Sad in 2017, we couldn’t guess that nearly a hundred people would respond. To our great satisfaction, the campaign was only the first of its kind, and in time, in addition to our employees, the visitors to our outlet started joining, as well as our fellow citizens. We are glad that, for four years now, we have been setting a good example continuously, inciting our employees, but also a wider public, to give a contribution to this noble mission – stated Darko Zivanov, the director general of MaxBet Group.

No chemical substance from a laboratory can replace blood transfusion, which each tenth hospital patient needs for a recovery. MaxBet Group has so far realized 30 blood donation campaigns, within which nearly 1,700 units were collected, amounting to 765 liters of blood. Considering that transfusion experts claim that a single unit of blood can save three lives, the humane actions of MaxBet volunteers have so far potentially saved over 5,000 lives.
