Serbian Products Part of Offer at Romanian Store Chain Remarkt – Important Place for Domestic Wines

Serbian Ambassador to Romania, Stefan Tomasevic, attended the promotion of Serbian products at the retail chain of the company Remarkt in Arad.

Ambassador Tomasevic pointed out that it was his great pleasure to attend the ceremony that the hosts from Remarkt had organized ahead of Easter to honor Serbian products and added that Serbia owed great gratitude for the opportunity given and for being allowed to enter a market that is difficult to penetrate in the demanding European market, as announced on the website of Ministry of Foreign Affairs of Serbia.

He emphasized that, not too long before, there had been only one producer from Serbia in the Romanian Market and that there had been individual attempts to place products on the market, which had proven to be unsustainable, and emphasized that now there was a whole range of top quality Serbian products in the Remarkt store chain.

He concluded that this was the result of dedicated work, which had required plenty of effort from all participants in this process.

The ambassador pointed out that he was happy that Serbian wines had a prominent place in the offer and said that it was of great importance for the wine industry in Serbia and in line with the country’s strategy of placing Serbian wines in the international market.

Tomasevic expressed his conviction that the cooperation of Serbian producers with Romanian store chains would continue and that the range of the goods would expand additionally.

The promotion was also attended by Remarkt representatives Dusan Wlms, Gerardo Monzillo and Florian Catana, Romanian MP and the president of the Association of Serbs in Romania, Ognjan Krstic, the president of the Arad County Council, Justin Cionca, the mayor of Arad, Calin Bibart, the deputy prefect of the Arad County, Jonel Sinac, and representatives of the Serbian diaspora.
