Greek Businessman Petros Stathis to Invest in Serbia

Greek businessman Petros Stathis announced a few days ago the launching of projects in Serbia and the sale of Universal Capital Bank, headquartered in Podgorica.

– The development of Belgrade is truly very, very impressive. This new project, Belgrade Waterfront, which I saw and which I want to take part in, all this together is heading in the right direction – Stathis said in an interview for Montenegrin TV A1.

He also announced the opening of an exclusive restaurant, without wanting to disclose more details.

Stathis emphasized that he no longer felt welcome in Montenegro, that he hadn’t felt respected there for a long time and that he was sorry for it.

He announced the sale of Universal Capital Bank.

– I have made a deal, in fact, I’ve had a deal for a long time now, but I’ve been postponing it, with a respected Italian investor, to sell the bank. I was also ready to sell Sveti Stefan – he said.

– That is the biggest success, it is the best place that a person can be at this time. Our Nammos restaurant in Dubai, in the first four and a half months of 2021, with all the Covid measures in place, Ramadan and without live music, still had a turnover of more than EUR 20 million – Stathis said.

He said that he did business in London, Cannes in France, Italy, the Caribbean, in New York.

So far, Stathis has done business in Montenegro as well, where he is a renter of an elite complex – the city-hotel Sveti Stefan and Villa Milocar, which will not work this year. He owns hotels Maestral and Durmitor in Zabljak, but also several media.
