At the opening of the Serbia-Hungary Business Forum at the Chamber Commerce of Serbia, he said that the loans would be meant not just for business projects in Hungary and Serbia, but also in third markets.
– There are no financial obstacles to cooperation of Serbian and Hungarian business people – Szijjarto emphasized and added that “the Hungarian capital is constantly interested in Serbia” and that there had never been more investments from Hungarian in Serbia than at that moment.
According to him, when it comes to investments by Hungarian business people, Serbia is in the 11th space, and the Hungarian OTP Bank has the second biggest share in the Serbian market.
The minister of economy of Serbia, Andjelka Atanaskovic, said that the value of foreign trade between Serbia and Hungary amounted to EUR 1.9 billion in 2020 and EUR 530 million in the first quarter of 2021, which is a 7.4% growth compared to the same period last year.
She said that economic cooperation of the two states was on the rise and that an additional contribution to it would be made by the documents signed as part of the session of the Joint Commission for Economic Cooperation of Serbia and Hungary.
