The Regional Industrial-Technology Park in Krusevac is to be built in the city’s industrial zone, on a parcel of 1.6 hectares, and the estimated value of the investment is around EUR 6 million. The facility will take up a total of 10,008 m2 and consist of three parts – the management building on nearly 5,000 m2, a semi-open exhibition space on 1,451 m2 and a modular hall of 4,003 m2 with 14 modules, the acting director of the Business Incubator in Krusevac, Marina Manojlovic, says for eKapija.

Each individual module will have 280 m2 and feature natural lighting through the roof, and, according to our interviewee, future users will be able to use the modules for production as well, if they require a production process, as well as for youth, female and family entrepreneurship, development of robotics and similar activities.

The exhibition space which will be part of the park is of great importance for development of economy in Krusevac as well.

– Krusevac does not have exhibit space now, and the city sorely needs it. We need a space where our companies and producers can present themselves and prepare for fairs abroad – Manojlovic points out.

The future management building will have 33 offices for 150 users and feature a show room, an indoor/outdoor restaurant, a gym, a conference/science-event hall, that is, an amphitheater with 198 seats, a 3D laboratory, an archive and four elevators.

Smart benches will enrich the surrounding area.

– Other cities have science-technology parks, and we want this to be an industrial-technology park, because Krusevac was the fifth strongest city when it came to industry in former Yugoslavia and we believe that it needs to be revived in that respect. The project is an initiative of the Business Incubator from Krusevac, with the help of the local self-government – Manojlovic pointed out.

The Ministry of Innovation and Technological Development earlier examined the project and, during yesterday’s visit, Prime Minister Ana Brnabic promised that the realization would take place not long after.
