Chinese Company TBEA Interested in Building Gas Thermal Power Plant in Kragujevac

The Chinese company TBEA is interested in building a new gas thermal power plant in Kragujevac.

Deputy Prime Minister and Minister of Mining and Energy of Serbia Zorana Mihajlovic talked today to representatives of TBEA about the potential project of the construction of the Thermal Power/Heating Plant Kragujevac (TE-TO Kragujevac), the Ministry of Mining and Energy announced.

– Serbia is open to new investments in energy and we are open to talks about all potential projects. When it comes to the project of construction of TE-TO Kragujevac, the potential further steps on this project will depend on what the preliminary feasibility study shows, and the government’s working group, which is to be formed, will deal with the project itself – Mihajlovic said.

The head of the European office of TBEA, Zhang Weiwei, said that the company analyzed the possibilities of investments in Serbia, especially regarding renewable energy sources, including hydro power plants, solar power plants and wind farms, as well as gas power plant projects, the ministry says.

TBEA produces equipment for the transfer and distribution of electrical energy and builds electrical energy capacities, including RES projects.
