DIN pays dividend for second quarter
People in Nis-based Tobacco industry (DIN) announced that the company's Managing Board had adopted the temporary balance of the organization for the second quarter of the year, during which net profit reached RSD 223.3m, and decided to pay interim dividend.
According to that decision, the owners of preferred shares from the first and the third issues (which are subjects of trading in the continuous market of the Belgrade Stock Exchange) will get RSD 34.09 per share, the owners of preferred shares from the fourth issue will be given RSD 17.65 per share, while RSD 16.4 per share will be paid to the owners of preferred shares from the fifth issue. DIN will also pay quarterly dividend in amount of RSD 12.65 per share to the owner of common shares.
In spite of the income growth of nearly 7% in 2009, the largest domestic tobacco company turned almost 50% smaller profit last year than in 2008 (2.1 billion dinar), while this year's quarterly results show that that negative trend, as far as profitability is concerned, continues in 2010 as well.
