The state’s plan is for at least 30% households to use the energy produced from solar panels, stated the minister of mining and energy of Serbia, Zorana Mihajlovic, who also reminded that the public invitation for the awarding of the subsidies for solar panels would open in early September and that the procedure would be the same as for the replacement of the carpentry.

– The data provided to us by local self-governments show that a minimum of 50% households are interested in the replacement of windows, doors, boilers and external wall insulation. We will subsidize the purchase of solar panels, and the procedure will be the same as for the replacement of the carpentry. The ministry will open an invitation toward local self-government units and then they will forward it, first to companies, and then to citizens. Everyone can participate, whether it’s houses, apartments, housing units. There will be enough money. We’ve talked with international finance institutions and, next year, EUR 150 million will be set aside for the project of increasing energy efficiency alone – she said for TV Happy.

Mihajlovic reminded that the state would provide a half of said amount.
