Radijator Zrenjanin Opens Tender for Sale of Machinery and Equipment – Matijevic to Produce Sour Cherry Harvesting Combines at New Factory

The company Mat Real Estate, owned by Petar Matijevic, bought the Zrenjanin-based factory Radijator AD for RSD 414.8 million two months ago. The official acquisition of the factory took place in early August, and according to the public findings, the new owner will produce sour cherry harvesting combines at these facilities.

– We will not continue producing castings for radiators, because the production was discontinued a long time ago. Instead, we will produce sour cherry harvesters, because that fruit is planted on 600 hectares – Zoran Matijevic, a co-owner of the company Matijevic, which runs Mat Real Estate, stated for the Beta agency.

In the meantime, following the initial information about what will happen to the factory which used to produce central heating boilers and radiations, the tender for the sale of the machinery and equipment opened.

According to the ad, the offer consists of a universal turning lathe, painting facilities, a universal milling machine, a shaping machine, a carpentry machine, a press, a model plate, as well as laboratory equipment for the testing of the castings and other equipment from the factory.

The deadline for the completion of the sale has not been announced, so a rough deadline of 7 days for the completion of the task has been given for this sales procedure.

The first attempt at the sale of Radijator Zrenjanin was organized in 2019. At the time, it was only the business space of the factory in Vracar that was sold, for RSD 19 million.

The next sale was organized in 2020, when the initial price was around RSD 1 billion, which was a half of the estimated value of this bankruptcy debtor, but there were no interested buyers.

The factory is located in an industrial zone toward Belgrade, has 22 facilities and a yard, all this on over two hectares of urban construction land.
