Memorandum of Intent signed for construction of gas pipelines in Brus, Raska, Tutin, and Novi Pazar
Semsudin Kucevic, the Deputy Director of the Office for sustainable development of insufficiently developed areas, and the representatives of the municipalities of Brus and Tutin, and the city of Novi Pazar, signed yesterday (August 23, 2010) in Belgrade the Memorandum of Intent for construction of primary gas pipeline for the municipalities of Brus, Raska, Tutin, and the City of Novi Pazar, which should make it possible for households and the economy sectors in these area to connect to the gas system.
This meeting, which was held in the Cabinet of Minister Dr. Sulejman Ugljanin in the building of the Government of the Republic of Serbia, was attended by the representatives of the Embassy of Slovakian Republic, as well as by Slovakian investors.
- We would finance the project for construction of regional gas pipeline from Aleksandrovac to Tutin, and the works would be carried out by Serbian companies with which we have already reached an agreement. If the agreement with Serbian Government was reached, Slovakian business consortium would open a sister company with the headquarters in Serbia, through which it would make that significant investment - said Lubor Tenecer, a representative of the Slovakian company that expressed interest in building regional gas pipeline in Serbia.
