Bionex builds a production complex for plastic processing in Apatin - Waste raw materials will be imported from the EU, and finished products will be exported abroad

The company Bionex plans to build a production complex in Apatin for the production and pyrolysis of plastic from waste, covering a total area of ​​8,803 m2.

An elaboration of the urban project has already been made for this endeavor, which is on public display in the Municipality of Apatin. According to the documentation, the complex will be built in two phases on a parcel of 5.35 hectares.

During the first phase, as defined by the mentioned study, two prefabricated facilities for storage of raw materials measuring 20x35 meters will be constructed, followed by storage for finished products of same dimensions, and pyrolysis production hall, regranulate production hall and hall for wastewater treatment with accompanying facilities for the functioning of the production process, on a total area of ​​4,047 m2.

In the second phase of the construction of the complex, construction of a prefabricated facility for the storage of finished products with an area of ​​4,754 m2 is planned. It will be defined in greater detail by the new urban project.

Bionex plans to build a modern non-hazardous waste management facility in this area. The study states that the processes will be conceived through the production of regranulate and priolit oil from non-hazardous waste plastic. Raw materials necessary for the production process will be imported from the countries of the European Union according to the previously reached agreement, the details of which were not published in the study, and all finished products are intended for export to foreign markets.

Considering that this is a production process that can affect the environment, in the study, the investor foresaw the application of all protection measures defined by law. As it was stated in the study, large-scale landscaping is envisaged for air protection measures, whereby green areas will occupy over 70% of the parcel in question, spanning 5.35 hectares.

When it comes to the protection of land and groundwater, the first phase of the project calls for the construction of a wastewater treatment system, which, according to the investor, will protect the existing water flows in the construction area.
