Expo 2020 Dubai – Serbian Solutions for Global Environmental Challenges

The economy of Serbia will be presented at the first thematic week of Expo 2020 Dubai, where the topics are the climate and the biodiversity, with a large number of innovative products and services dedicated to circular economy, the improvement of energy efficiency, renewable sources of energy, the reduction of harmful gas emissions and the mitigation of the climate change. In addition to companies, Serbian startups, clusters, science-technology parks, faculties and institutes will promote their innovations and advanced technologies, according to the website of the Chamber of Commerce of Serbia (CCIS).

The visitors of the exhibition in Dubai during the Climate and Biodiversity week, which starts on October 3 and ends on October 9, will be shown electric bicycles, “Made in Serbia” diagnostic tests, as well as many other innovative products and solutions which can contribute to the solving of global environmental problems.

In addition to connecting with business partners and the possibility of penetrating new markets, the representatives of the business delegation of Serbia expect to be introduced to the most modern green, low-carbon technologies and the latest trends in the world of sustainable development in Dubai.

– The concept of carbon-neutrality, “decarbonization”, is becoming the priority in global agendas and initiatives, and the program of a green transition is especially important for the industry of the Western Balkans and the demanding energy transition. Expo 2020 Dubai will try to design the future of the planet, the distribution of the responsibility for CO2 emissions, the best solutions for the sustainability of economies and the best circular economy practices – points out Sinisa Mitrovic, the head of the Center for Circular Economy of the CCIS.

It is added that the exhibition will be an excellent opportunity for Serbian startups and green solution innovations for the world to see them and potentially invest in the green transition of the Serbian economy and the infrastructure for waste waters and waste of the local communities.
