City of Nis reduced debts of companies awaiting privatization

The City Council of Nis has made the decision to accept the recommendation of the Serbian Government to write-off interests on the debts of all companies in the restructuring process for all source and allotted public incomes of the budget of the City of Nis that were due for payment on December 31, 2009, that is, on taxes and fees that are paid to the local budget.

This decision on write-off of interests will help improve the situation in companies in the restructuring process and make them more attractive to potential buyers.

Among the companies whose interests on debts will be written off are firms within the Mechanical Industry of Nis, Gradjevinar, Vulkan, Nitex, and Srbijaturist.
