The Commercial Court in Belgrade has launched a preliminary procedure for the examination of the conditions for the opening of bankruptcy proceedings in line with the Pre-Packaged Reorganization Plan (PPRP) in the bankruptcy debtor Port of Belgrade, according to the decision published on the court’s web page.

The decision was adopted at the proposition of the Port of Belgrade, and the court has appointed Nikola Vitkovic as the temporary bankruptcy supervisor in charge of checking the accuracy of the data from the PPRP that the Port submitted.

As measures of security, bans on payment, disposal of property, enforcement and enforced payment have been adopted.

The court hearing at which the proposition for the initiation of the bankruptcy proceedings that the Port submitted will be deliberated on has been scheduled for February 18.

The court says in the explanation that the Port has notified them of the fact that the company’s accounts have been blocked since June 2020 for an amount exceeding RSD 2.4 billion and that the adoption of the PPRP is proposed in order to prevent bankruptcy.
