Russians to Take Over Petrohemija Pancevo

The president of Serbia, Aleksandar Vucic, has stated that it has been agreed for “Russians to take over Petrohemija”.

– This is big and important news for Petrohemija employees – Vucic said and pointed out that the company would finally no longer depend on conjecture, whereby, for example, there are two good years, like now, followed by three disastrous years.

– It all depends on primary petrol. Petrohemija uses primary petrol at 90%, and 10% of its operating costs is the price of gas, and the only ones we could essentially make this kind of agreement with are the Russians – Vucic said and added that the agreement with the Russians had been reached after many years and much effort.

Let us remind that, in late October, the state secretary at the Ministry of Economy, Dragan Stevanovic, stated that the negotiations with NIS on the takeover of Petrohemija Pancevo had officially begun and that NIS, as part of its offer, had already accepted the planned items in the strategic partnership agreement.
