EUR 3.4 Million from European Union for Development of Infrastructure in Four Regions

At the Regional Center for Professional Development in Smederevo, within the EU PRO Plus program, the public invitation for the improvement of infrastructure in 99 local self-governments in the regions of Sumadija, west, south and east Serbia, for which EU had set aside EUR 3.4 million, was presented.

The contest is open until January 31, 2022, after which, depending on the requested amounts, at least 30 best applications will be selected.

The invitation is meant for projects for the improvement of public services in healthcare, welfare protection, education, sports, culture, public administration and utility services.

In selecting the best projects, special attention will be paid to the improvement of the living conditions of members of vulnerable groups and the recovery from the consequences of Covid-19.


Per project, local self-governments can get amounts of EUR 42,000 to 170,000, whereby it is necessary for them to secure a participation of at least 15% of the total value.

In case they apply projects in healthcare or welfare protection, towns and municipalities have the right to take part in this invitation by submitting two projects.
