The mayor of Novi Sad, Milos Vucevic, published the visual presentation of the design of the future bridge in Novi Sad. According to him, the new bridge will consist of the main city road of nearly 1.4 km and a side route, with five traffic interchanges and “a jewel in the form of an 880 meters long bridge with four lanes for vehicles and a separate pedestrian-cycling part”.

– The new bridge on the Danube will not just be an architectural highlight and a modern symbol of the Serbian Athens. Its role will also contribute to redefining the way of life for Novi Sad and its residents in the upcoming decade, turning the Srem side of our city into the main residential area with a remarkable perspective, whereas the Backa side will remain the “old” Novi Sad, but also a business-industrial environment – Vucic said on his official Instagram profile.
