Agreement on Construction of HPP Dabar Worth USD 190 Million Signed with Chinese Company

The Government of Republika Srpska signed the agreement with a Chinese company on the financing and construction of the hydro power plant Dabar, worth USD 190 million, on Friday, December 31.

According to the agreement, the hydro power plant will be built by the Chinese company China Energy Gezhouba Group, which will be credited by the Chinese state Exim bank, based on the guarantees of Republika Srpska, the Capital portal learns at the Government of Republika Srpska.

The prime minister of RS, Radovan Viskovic, recently announced the signing of this agreement.

– Very soon, after New Year, agreements will be signed with the Chinese bank and the Chinese contractor for the construction of the hydro power plant on the Dabar. This is a decade project of Hercegovina and this part of Republika Srpska – Viskovic pointed out.

The HPP Dabar, whose total value is BAM 650 million, will be built by China Energy Gezhouba Group.

This HPP will have an installed power of 159.15 MW and a production of electrical energy of 251.80 GWh.
