New Insurance Principal Amounts in Effect from This Month – Nearly 9% Higher Than Last Year

Beginning with the payment for January 2022, new insurance principal amounts, which are 8.72% higher compared to the past year, are in effect, and citizens can opt for one of the 13 insurance principal amounts, regardless of their level of professional training, according to the website of Pension and Disability Insurance Fund of the Republic of Serbia.

According to the Law on Contributions for Mandatory Social Insurance, the lowest insurance principal amount is 25% of the average salary in the past 12 months on the state level, which is RSD 30,880, whereas the highest one amounts to five average salaries, that is, RSD 441,140.

The contribution for the pension and disability insurance is 25%, which means that the monthly expenditure for an individual payment of the contribution for the pension and disability insurance will range between 7,720.00 and 110,285.00 dinars.
