Government of Serbia Extends Limit on Prices of Basic Foodstuffs

At the session held on Friday, the Government of the Republic of Serbia adopted the Decree on limiting the price of basic foodstuffs in order to further protect the market.

This pertains to the following foodstuffs: crystal sugar of one kilogram, flour types 500 and 400 smooth, in all packages up to and including five kilograms, sunflower oil of one liter, pork leg and UHT milk with 2.8% milk fat of one liter, the government says in a press release.

The decree, which will be applied for a period of 90 days, limits the producer prices and the prices in the wholesale and retail trade of the listed groceries, so that they do not exceed the price level of those products on November 15, 2021.
