Invitation Worth EUR 250 Million for Replacement of Joinery Sent to Local Self-Governments – State Participation 70% in Least Developed Municipalities

The Ministry of Mining and Energy of Serbia today published a new public invitation for the allocation of subsidies for the improvement of energy efficiency, for which EUR 250 million has been set aside.

Minister Zorana Mihajlovic explained on TV K1 that the public invitation, which is open to all local self-government units, would last for the next 15 days.

– We have published the public invitation for towns and municipalities, with which we will carry out the project of the replacement of joinery together. After that, all the local self-government units will publish invitations toward companies and citizens – she specified.

According to her, EUR 250 million has been secured for this year for subsidies for the replacement of joinery, that is, for the installation of exterior insulation and the replacement of boilers, as well as for the installation of solar panels.

Mihajlovic pointed out that the first project had shown that citizens are interested in this form of subsidies and said that the ministry would provide more money to devastated municipalities and socially vulnerable citizens.

– The new feature is that the ministry, instead of 50%, will participate with 70% in the least developed, that is, devastated municipalities. We are also talking with welfare centers and we will find a way to help socially vulnerable households to be able to take part in the project – she said, as announced by the government.
