Public Debt of Serbia at 56.9% of GDP at the End of 2021

At the end of 2021, the public debt of Serbia was EUR 30.13 billion, which was 56.9% of the gross domestic product (GDP), the Ministry of Finance announced today.

At the end of November, the public debt was around EUR 29.89 billion, that is, 56.4% of the GDP.

The public debt of Serbia at the end of 2020 was EUR 26.67 billion, or 57% of the GDP.


In 2021, Serbia had a state budget deficit of RSD 286.1 billion, or 4.6% of the GDP, a result better than planned in the October budget rebalance by RSD 18.4 billion (0.3% of the GDP), the Ministry of Finance announced.
