Serbian Minister of Economy and Regional Development
Mladjan Dinkic stated on Friday, October 22, that the state would grant employment incentives to Vrsac-based Fresenius Medical Care company, enabling the company to hire another 400 workers.
- By the end of the year, another 150 people will start working at the company, and we have decided to back this new investment of Fresenius Medical Care with the funds from our Direct Investment Promotion Programme so that we will grant the company the employment incentives for hiring 400 new workers - he said on the occasion of the visit to that factory.
According to the Ministry of Economy's statement, Dinkic assessed that every plan for the expansion of production, employment of new workers and export of ready-made products was a good news for Serbia and its citizens.
Fresenius Medical Care will put a new line for production of dialysis equipment in operation next week, while a new investment of 10 million euros in the construction of a brand new factory is in the pipeline as well.
Dinkic said that the line would be producing highly sophisticated equipment for dialysis that would also be exported to the countries of the region. Fresenius currently has 328 employees, while its annual turnover in 2009 amounted to 3.36 billion dinars.
Fresenius Medical Care Production Director Vojislav Bugarski said that the installation of a new artery-vein system (AVS) was expected to take place next week and that it would be producing over 3m AV sets per year, while the whole production would be exported.
