Metalka Majur builds factory of electric materials in Republic of Srpska
- Metalka Majur from Jagodina is going to have a factory hall built at 12,000 square meters in Crnaja industrial zone near Srbac in the Republic of Srpska, where about 100 people from the territory of the municipality of Srbac will get jobs, while a total of about 520 workers of all profiles will be hired - daily paper Glas Srpske writes.
For the needs of the construction of that industrial capacity, this company will buy 50,000 square meters of state-owned land at the price of about 0.3 euros per square meter. That has been decided at the regular session of the Town Assembly of Srbac.
- It is the leading manufacturer of electric-insulation materials in Serbia, which produces switches, sockets and switch boxes for 17 countries of the European Union. Construction of the plan may start already by the end of the year. In association with some partner companies, this company plans to hire about 250 people from the municipality of Srbac over the next few years - Goran Gavranovic, the Chairman of the Town Assembly of Srbac, stated in the explanation of the decision.
He adds that that plant will be supplying the assembly units for electric-insulation materials in Banja Luka, Novi Grad and Kotor Varos. About 520 workers of all profiles will be engaged in these works.
