AmCham continues to support American and other investors in Serbia

The newly elected President of the American Chamber of Commerce in Serbia (AmCham), Stefan Lazarevic, said that AmCham will continue to support American and other investors in Serbia, as well as the Serbian government in reforms and creating a stable, predictable and attractive business environment.

- As part of that mission, we will certainly get involved in strengthening regional initiatives, such as the Open Balkans Initiative - advised Lazarevic, who is also the General Manager of NCR Serbia.

He added that the business association will strive to be "present at every table where the improvement of the economic environment is discussed, as well as other topics related to attracting investments, employment and respecting the highest standards in all spheres of business."

Lazarevic will run AmCham for the next two years, succeeding the incumbent Zoran Petrovic.

In addition to the new president, AmCham member companies have elected other members of the Board of Directors, therefore Ivan Miletic from Philip Morris International will be the first vice president for the next two years, and Ronald Seeliger from Hemofarm will be the second vice president.

Four members of the Management Board have also been elected: Goran Vasic from Telenor, Ksenija Karic from Schneider Electric, Marija Popovic from OTP banka Srbija and Milan Gospic from Microsoft Srbija.

It was also announced that this year's AmCham "Hero" award was given to actress Milena Radulovic by a jury composed of representatives of the AmCham Board of Directors. The jury explained that she had made a courageous and self-sacrificing public gesture last year by speaking out against gender-based violence, and in favor of protection of life and integrity, not only on her behalf, but on behalf of all women ".
