Plan for Expansion of Ski Center Tornik – New Zones for Construction at the Foot and on the Top and Additional Accommodation Capacities

The PE Ski Resorts of Serbia has published the tender for the preparation of the urban documentation for the area of the Ski Center Tornik on Zlatibor.

The subject of the public procurement is the preparation of the Amendments to the Detailed Regulation Plan for the ski center area.

According to the technical specification of the tender, the need and the spatial-technical possibilities for upgrading the ski resort have been determined.

– Considering the growing number of users, in order to use the full potential, there is a need for the spatial development of the area to be harmonized with the needs, which, with the current capacities and rules of construction, in the current planning documents, cannot be achieved – the document says.

To the end of developing Tornik in line with larger ski center and toward meeting the needs of the users, the plan is to introduce new construction zones at the foot of the ski center and to expand the existing ones at the top of Tornik, to expand the offer of accommodation capacities, to change the allowed number of floors in facilities, to introduce a new ski track and to change the traffic system design at the foot of the ski center.

It is said that a new plan needs to be prepared, which will encompass the current Detailed Regulation Plan for the area of the Ski Center Tornik, as well as the Amendments to the Detailed Regulation Plan for the area of the Ski Center Tornik in an emergency procedure from 2021, which is the process of adoption.

The tender expires on March 10.
