Air Serbia is one of the few European airline carriers which still has a permit to fly in the Russian air space. After most European states implemented a ban on flights of aircraft registered in Russia, the reciprocal measures of the Russian authorities followed. Air Serbia retains 8 flights a week between Belgrade and Moscow. All the flights until Thursday are sold out, and the airline company is yet to announce potential additional capacities on this line. The Sunday flights to the Russian capital were also sold out.

On the other hand, Aeroflot, which maintains eight weekly flights from Russia to Belgrade, and Nordwind Airlines, which carries out flights twice a week, were forced to suspend departures to the Serbian capital, because many states, in protest against Russia’s attack on Ukraine, closed their air spaces for Russian aircraft.
