Cooperation of Autonomous Province of Vojvodina and Bengo Province in Republic of Angola Established – Focus on Three Sectors, Agriculture as Backbone

The letter of intent on establishing and developing friendly relations and cooperation between the Autonomous Province of Vojvodina and the Bengo Province in the Republic of Angola was signed by the president of the Provincial Government, Igor Mirovic, and the governor of the Bengo Province, Mara Quiosa.

As they pointed out, the document creates the conditions for the intensification of the interregional cooperation in fields of mutual interest, with the focus on economy, agriculture and development of information technologies in that sector, and the food industry, as announced on the website of the Provincial Government.

According to Mirovic, agriculture will be the backbone of the agreement, considering that both provinces are agrarian areas.

– The signed document creates the conditions for the connecting of our institutions in the fields of education, culture, sports and tourism as well – Mirovic stated.

Mirovic also said that the potentials of AP Vojvodina and the Bengo Province would be presented at fairs in 2022.

Governor Quiosa said that the Bengo Province had an interest in all forms of cooperation and institutional relations with AP Vojvodina based on reciprocity, especially in the agricultural sector, which is their greatest potential.
