The president of Serbia, Aleksandar Vucic, said today that there were enough oil reserves for two months, but that “huge quantities” should arrive in 17-18 days, in order to fill out the reserves.

– We have oil reserves for two months without buying another liter, which perhaps 10-20 countries in the world have. In 17-18 days, huge quantities of oil should arrive, so that we can fill out the reserves – Vucic said when asked by the journalists during the opening of the animal feed factory in Adasevci whether the citizens are justified in fearing that the reserves are small.

He said that the oil from Russia that Serbia uses arrived to Omisalj in Croatia, but that he feared that, if the military operations of the Russian army intensified, so would Europe’s pressures to ban its exports.

He added that Serbia was between Hungary and Bulgaria and that a decision by any of them could affect it.

He emphasized that there were efforts to diversify the supply of oil and that he would also talk to Mohamed bin Zayed bin Sultan Al Nahyan, the crown prince of the Emirate of Abu Dhabi, but that the problem was how to deliver that oil.
