Investment of Slovenian meat industry - Pivka-S opened storage and logistics center in Novi Banovci
Pivka-S, a daughter company of Slovenian food industry Pivka, opened today a new storage and business center at 460 square meters in Novi Banovci, worth EUR 400,000. The facility in the vicinity of Belgrade comprises 350 square meters of storage space and 110 square meters of office space, while better logistics is necessary for expansion of the business and the offer of Pivka and Delamaris brands to Serbian market, reads the company's statement.
By cutting the ribbon, Stara Pazova Deputy Mayor Goran Vranjes and Chairman of the Management of Pivka Perutninarstvo Janez Rebec opened the new center.
- Positive effects of the investment can already be seen because the product portfolio of the company is essentially larger and it includes, among the rest, Delamaris products. The results of our work will be felt to a full extent in few years, when fresh meat import restrictions will be reduced, our offer will be additionally expanded, and the capacities of the new storage and logistics center will be completely utilized in that way -
said Janez Rebec, the Chairman of the Managing Board of Pivka Perutninarstvo and the Delamaris CEO.
Pivka-S operates since 1980 and it employs 9 people. Its primary field of work is distribution and sale of Pivka's products in Serbia. In 2009, the company registered EUR 1m worth of income from sales. Before the expansion of the logistics capacities, Pivka-S used to cover the territory of central Serbia and Vojvodina. From now on, it will be more actively offering the goods to southern Serbia as well.
Pivka's product portfolio includes chicken and turkey meat, rabbit and horse meat, as well as a broad palette of meat products: ham, salami, hot dogs, beer sausages, pates, etc. The company's offer also includes the prepared fodder mixes and vitamin-mineral additives for food for all types of animals.
