Relocation of long-distance power lines from New Belgrade's blocks 70 and 70a
An agreement was signed today in Belgrade on elaboration of a preliminary project for relocation of long-distance power lines under the ground in New Belgrade's blocks 70 and 70a. The agreement was signed by Mayor of New Belgrade Nenad Milenkovic and Dejan Paunovic from Elektroistok Inzenjering, the company entrusted with implementation of that project.
Miroslav Cuckovic, a City Council member, reminded that such long-distance power lines had become things of the past in Karaburma and that, thanks to the social responsibility of Elektromreze Srbije, the borough of Palilula had got new lots for construction of residential and industrial facilities.
The plan is that seven poles situated between substation Beograd 5 and Novi Beograd heating plant be removed. Once the preliminary project is finished, the value of the whole investment will be known.
