The company eBay has announced the launching of an exclusive support program for sellers of car parts and equipment in Serbia. Entrepreneurs who register at the platform for the first time and decide to sell more than 150 different articles will get support from a personal eBay manager for growth for a period of one year, a free Premium eBay store subscription in the next three months and the service of auto listing.

This initiative will focus on promoting local sellers of car parts and equipment in the global market of over 147 million buyers from 190 states and, at the same time, on providing the best sales experience for small and medium enterprises which come from the developing markets which have the biggest potential.

The car part and equipment vertical is one of the most successful categories on the eBay platform – in the past year, within this segment, a growth of nearly 30% has been recorded in developing markets.

This kind of growth is a consequence of the fact that the car industry is heavily affected by the current shortage of semi-conductors, which affects vehicle prices. In 2022, the prices of new cars have grown 12%, whereas the prices of used cars have grown over 40%. For purchasers, it is now more cost-effective to repair their cars and get the necessary parts in the market.

According to the data from the eBay platform, in the USA, every second, three car parts are sold, whereas in the markets of Great Britain and Germany, one part is sold each second. With the current rising demand for car parts, now is the right moment for sellers of car parts and equipment to research new sales channels and join online platforms in order to meet the new purchasers halfway. To the end of supporting small and medium enterprises, eBay will secure free package offers for new sellers, which will enable them to present their products, attract new clients and upgrade their businesses.

The program, which will last six months, is the first initiative of eBay in the markets that are meant for a special category.
