The Ministry of Trade, Tourism and Telecommunications of Serbia announced Friday that a liter of Eurodiesel would cost RSD 202 for the next seven days, and that Europremium BMB 95 would be sold at RSD 180 per liter. In the previous seven days, Eurodiesel had cost RSD 206.20, whereas Europremium BMB 95 cost RSD 184 per liter.

Addressing the citizens, the president of Serbia, Aleksandar Vucic, said that the price of fuel would drop ten dinars and that a liter of Eurodiesel would cost RSD 195 and the Europremium BMB 95 would be sold at RSD 180.

The prices announced by the Ministry of Trade would apply until May 13, at 3 PM.

Vucic explained the lowering of the prices with the request from Naftna Industrija Srbije (NIS) to have the prices reduced, as it used local oil, which cost USD 30 per barrel, and not USD 105 or 110 per barrel as in world markets.

He said that those products could be more expensive by around one dinar at gas stations belonging to other suppliers.

He emphasized that, following the lowering of the prices, the prices of fuel in Serbia would be lower than in many countries, except in north Macedonia, Bulgaria and Bosnia and Herzegovina.
