Through the LPA portal, at only a few clicks, citizens can file a request for getting this certification issued, and they can pick up the electronic document either on the LPA portal or from their eSanduce (eInbox) on the eGovernment portal.
In order to use this service, citizens need to be electronically identified with a qualified electronic certificate, regardless of whether it’s in a cloud storage or on a smart card/USB token.
The request for obtaining the certificate can be filed by natural persons, entrepreneurs and legal persons, and the request can be filed to all the local tax administrations which have enabled the processing of electronic certificates, as announced on the website of the Government of Serbia.
The director of the Office for Information Technologies and Electronic Government, Mihailo Jovanovic, pointed out that, in 2021 alone, local tax administrations in Belgrade had issued over 120 thousand of these certificates at the citizens’ requests.
Due to this, we have decided to digitize this service as well and make it easier for all citizens, but also the economy, to electronically submit the request and get the eCertificate without having to wait at the counters. The eCertificate service is currently available in all 37 local tax administrations, and we expect all the other local tax administrations to enable this service during the summer, Jovanovic added.
How to get an eCertificate:
– You need to be a registered user on the eGovernment portal with a high degree of reliability (a qualified electronic certificate in a cloud storage, on a card or a USB token);
– More information about how to get a free certificate in a cloud storage is available here;
– Register at the lpa.gov.rs portal;
– In the menu, chose the option titled “Uverenja” and fill in the data;
– If the purpose of the issuing of this certificate requires paying an administrative fee, you can do so electronically on the LPA portal;
– After you file a request, the local tax administration has 8 days to issue you the electronic decision which you can download from the LPA portal or from your eSanduce on the eGovernment portal.
