Hotel Jugoslavija sold to company "Alpe-Adria hoteli" for €31.3m

Belgrade-based company "Alpe-Adria hoteli" has bought hotel "Jugoslavija" for €31.3m. The hotel was not sold through the privatization process, but as a part of the property of "Dunav osiguranje" and the money goes to this company and not to the State. The starting price was €26m, but it went up after "Alpe adria" offered the price higher than the other two competitors: KLC holding SA from Luxembourg and off-shore company Pluto international Kingstown.

"Alpe adria hoteli" was founded in Belgrade in December 2005 and the founder is certain company "QS Investment" that is registered in Belize in Panama. Rade Rakočević, the director of broker company "Senzal", which carried out procurement in the name of this client, claims that "Alpe adria hoteli" is backed by the group of Austrian investors who have intention to make "Jugoslavija" hotel top-quality hotel with five stars and then introduce top-quality hotel chain to Belgrade.
