Tigar Tyers best exporter in 2010 - SIEPA granted awards
Pirot-based Tigar Tyers has won the award of the Investment and Export Promotion Agency of Serbia (SIEPA) for the exporter of the year because it sold 92.6% of products in foreign markets, increased the number of employees and invested in the production.
Tigar Tyers is 100% owned by Michelin and, as Prime Minister Mirko Cvetkovic explained, it is "a successful example of foreign investment that contributes to the growth of Serbia's export".
The award for the export export product has been granted to Aling-Conel from Backa Palanka for the product range of installation fittings, connections and switch boxes.
Belgrade-based Quadra Graphic has won the SIEPA award for conquering a new market with the cards for mobile operators.
The most successful exporter among small and mid-sized enterprises is furniture manufacturer Kolarevic from Cicevac. That company exported 90% of production to Germany, Austria and Spain.
Special award in the category of small and mid-sized enterprises has been presented to Ice Cream Factory from Nova Pazova for the export of ice cream to Russia and Simicevo-based FSO Gosa for the successful sales of concrete mixer trucks in the markets of the USA, Germany, Brazil, Belgium and India.
SIEPA has for the first time granted the award for socially responsible operations. This award has been won by Kraljevo-based Amiga because it set aside 830,000 dinars for various charities and refurbishment of consequences of the earthquake in that city by hiring machines and workers.
Sponsors of this year's SIEPA Awards - Eurobank EFG and Belgrade-based DHL International, have presented a cheque for EUR 15,000 to Koralerevic company for the export promotion and a cheque for EUR 10,000 to Quadra Graphic for freight-forwarding services, respectively.
Marketing company Orange Studio has sponsored Aling-Conel by preparing a promotional marketing campaign worth 10,000 euros, while SIEPA has provided a training for the employees of Amiga.
