Compared to 2020, when the city had set aside RSD 670 million for the item “cleaning of drains, maintenance of stormwater sewer and fountains”, this year, only 390 million was set aside for that item.
This reduction could have potentially disastrous consequences, some of which we saw two days ago, the association points out.
– My question to the city secretary in charge, Nikola Kovacevic, and the director of Belgrade Waterworks and Sewer, Strahinja Danilovic, is why the spending on the maintenance of stormwater sewer has been reduced in the past two years if we have “record budgets” in Belgrade and whether they will accept responsibility for this – said the director of CLS, Nikola Jovanovic.
