New consortium for ski center Tornik on Zlatibor – Putevi Užice+Srbijašume+Municipality of Čajetina ?
After the unsuccessful tender for demolished ski center Tornik on Zlatibor mountain, some new solutions are announced. Putevi Užice, or better say Consortium Mićić that manages this company, hotel Palisad and some other companies, is getting ready for rental and rehabilitation of the ski center, but under better terms than on the tender that failed. On that tender, Srbijašume, the land owner, offered land for rent on period of only 20 years. The new proposal will be as follows : joint undertaking with Srbijašume – Consortium Mićić would invest capital, Srbijašume would give land, whereas Municipality of Čajetina would provide the water for making of artificial snow (lake is only 2 km away from the ski center). The investments would be huge and the profit would be shared in accordance with the invested. Unofficially, the other party prepares elements for such concept, through enabling of rental on 99 years. The Consortium has already bought big ski lift intended for Tornik and it is also ready for some other investments.
The plan is that the first-class ski center be built with 3 new ski lifts, 4-5 new ski tracks, systems for artificial snow and other similar devices, so that the ski tracks can be used 100 days a year.
