Tender for construction of solar power plant in Leskovac by end of 2010
- Tender for the construction of a solar power plant in Leskovac will be announced by the end of 2010 - Milorad Mladenovic, the Assistant Mayor of Leskovac, announced for eKapija and pointed out that the preparation of documentation for the public call was underway.
Milorad Mladenovic was staying in German city of Freiburg where he got familiar with the work of a solar power plant in that city. Representatives of a Slovenian company engaged in that business have recently been staying in Leskovac and offered assistance as well.
- We are considering two options - installation of rotating or fixed elements. Rotation of the former, so-called sunflowers, depend on energy, which means that they use more of it, but they also require a larger investment and their maintenance costs more. An investment in fixed elements is smaller, but so is the use of solar energy - says our interlocutor.
As he explained, 70% of the required funds for implementation of the project has already been provided, while the rest should be provided from a future partner.
According to his words, it is more and more likely that Leskovac will be the first city in Serbia to use the energy of Sun.
The City of Leskovac implements this project in association with Pancevo-based Globus Auto.
