PE Roads of Serbia has announced a tender for the design, delivery, installation and commissioning of fast electric chargers for electric cars on the highways in Serbia.

As stated in the technical specification of the tender, the subject of the public procurement is the design and installation of 10 fast electric chargers at 10 different locations.

These are: the "Cokot" rest stop on the E-75 highway in the direction Nis - Presevo, the "Lalinci" rest stop on the E-763 highway in the Cacak - Belgrade direction, the "Jerina" rest stop on the E-75 highway in the Belgrade - Nis direction, the toll station "Šimanovci" on E-70 highway in the direction Belgrade - Sid, toll station "Stara Pazova" on E-75 highway in the Subotica - Belgrade direction, rest stop "Toplik" on E-80 highway in the direction Nis - Dimitrovgrad, rest stop "Crvena reka" " on E-80 in the direction Dimitrovgrad - Nis, rest stop "Korbevac" on E-75 in the direction of Presevo - Nis, toll station "Subotica" on highway E-75 in the direction Subotica - Belgrade and toll station "Sid" on E-70 in the direction Sid - Belgrade.

As specified, the 70-90 kW DC charger model is a fast charger for electric cars in one mono case. The maximum DC output power of the device should be 70-90 kW, with the possibility of a hardware upgrade of the device in the same housing to a charger output power of at least 300 kW DC, in case the Client needs to increase power according to future market development.

The flexible design should allow one CCS2 port with integrated associated cables, as well as one Type2 port for AC charging, with the possibility of simultaneously charging 2 electric vehicles.

The planned use of this charger is based on the principle of incidental charging, which is suitable for toll stations, highway rest stops or gas stations. The delivered device must also support the possibility of connecting four CCS2 ports in case the Client needs to increase the capacity.

The tender is open until August 29, and the estimated value of the work is RSD 83.3 million.

PE Roads of Serbia, as stated on their official website, has so far installed 8 electric chargers on the main roads in Serbia, three of which are ultra-fast electric chargers, with a maximum output power of 175 kW,. They have been in operation since January last year. Two are located on the plateau of the former "Nis" toll station (direction Belgrade-Nis and direction Nis-Belgrade), and the third is on the plateau of the "Belgrade" toll station (direction Nis-Belgrade).

The remaining five, with a power of 22-50kW, are located on the plateaus of the toll stations "Presevo" (the direction of the state border with Macedonia towards Nis), "Sid" (the direction from the border with Croatia towards Belgrade), "Dimitrovgrad" (from the border with Bulgaria towards Nis) and "Subotica" (from the border with Hungary towards Belgrade), as well as at the "Boljkovci" rest area, on the Miloš Veliki highway (direction Belgrade-Cacak), near the "Ljig" toll station.

These chargers have three ports - two for fast DC charging and one for fast AC charging. Such a station enables electric cars to be powered with a maximum output power of 50 kW for DC and 22 kW for AC charging.
