The Ministry of Environmental Protection issued a decision approving the environmental impact assessment study regarding the expansion and construction of the port of Sremska Mitrovica.

Early this year, the Port Management Agency submitted a request for consent to the environmental impact assessment study regarding the expansion and construction of the Sremska Mitrovica port.

As per conceptual project, the plan includes 4 zones for different cargo types, the construction of a coastal bulwark, a quay and a concrete factory.

The port will cover 14 hectares, with a total capacity of 1,500,000 tons of cargo, and is planned as an open port with the possibility of additional capacity expansion.
