Serbian cadaster presented as an example of good practice in the United Nations

Serbia has made significant progress when it comes to integration of geospatial data and land administration, and the approach that has been applied is an excellent example of good practice and a recipe for many countries of the world - this was the conclusion of the panel at the United Nations headquarters. There, the delegation of the Republic Geodetic Authority (RGA) has presented the results of the implementation of the Integrated Framework for Geospatial Data, as well as the model of the creation of the Socio-Economic Study of the Impact of Geospatial Data, which Serbia was the first in the world to produce - the RGA announced.

The study was prepared as part of the project "Improvement of land administration in Serbia", in cooperation with the World Bank.

At the main session of the 12th assembly of the United Nations Organization for the Global Management of Geospatial Information in New York, Darko Vucetic, assistant director of the Development Sector of RGA, as a member of the executive board of this organization for Europe, presented the position of European countries in the field of application of geospatial data in effective land management administration, stressing that the integration of the framework for effective land administration and the framework for managing geospatial information is of crucial importance.
