Compensation Within “My First Salary” Program Increased – New Public Invitation on August 22

The Serbian government adopted yesterday the amended Regulation on the youth employment incentive program "My First Salary", which increases the amount of financial compensation for the unemployed youth who will be included in this program based on a new public call.

For young people with secondary education, the amount is increased from RSD 22,000 to RSD 25,000 per month, and for young people with higher education from RSD 26,000 to RSD 30,000 per month.

A new public call will be announced by the National Employment Service on Monday, 22 August, and all information will be available on the websites www.nsz.gov.rs and www.mojaprvaplata.gov.rs.

So far, two cycles of the program have been implemented, involving approximately 18,000 young people. The goal of the program is to train 10,000 young people for independent work with secondary and higher education, up to the age of 30, without work experience, who are on the unemployment register of the National Employment Service, they remind on the website of the Government of Serbia.

The program is carried out at employers which belong to either the private or the public sector, whereas priority is given to employers from the private sector, especially those from devastated areas.

The “My First Salary” program creates additional possibilities for enabling young people, providing them with their first work experience and increasing their competitiveness in the labor market, considering that the position of the young in the labor market is less favorable compared to the general populace in the Republic of Serbia, it is added.
