She said that she believed that it would not influence the market in Serbia.
– The sixth package of EU sanctions envisages the ban on export of Russian crude oil from November 1. After this period, it will be possible to get crude oil only from the free market. We have known about this decision for two months now and we are doing everything we can to find a way to prevent a disturbance in our market and I believe that we will manage to do so. Naftna Industrija Srbije gets crude oil through JANAF and has not been buying Russian oil exclusively, instead also importing it from Iraq and other countries. The overall balance consisted of around 50% Russian oil, 30% from other suppliers and 20% local crude oil – Mihajlovic said in response to the journalists’ questions in Krusevac, as announced on the ministry’s website.
On Saturday, following his meetings with representatives of Serbs from Kosovo and Metohija, the president of Serbia, Aleksandar Vucic, said that, from November 1, Serbia would be under sanctions for Russian oil.
