Fasada in Stara Pazova to expand capacities - New unit for production of building materials in September 2011
Fasada company has grown from a small workshop for production of milling stones into an inevitable partner for finishing construction works. The tradition of the former workshop Kvarc in Trstenik, formed in 1932, was renewed in 1992 by Dusan Topalovic and Milos Pralica when they established a company in Simanovci. Fasada is engaged in the production of the materials used in processing of exterior and interior walls. The production process takes place in the industrial zone in Stara Pazova. For the needs of expansion of business, construction of a new plant has commenced recently.
Milos Pralica, the Director of Fasada, says for eKapija that between 500,000 and 600,000 euros will be invested in the new production hall and plant in Stara Pazova.
- The new hall for production of liquid products is being built next to the existing plant, on our lot in the industrial zone. We also plan to modernize our existing plant and launch a new product. Construction of the hall will be finished in July 2011 and production should commence in September. The production capacity of our plant ranges between 25,000 and 30,000 tons of materials for exterior and interior walls processing, while the new line will enable production of additional 10,000 tons of materials. There is also enough space on our lot for the third hall. Once it is finished, our investment cycle will be completed - Pralica says in an interview for eKapija.
He points out that the production will be automated so that only 5 workers will be employed, that is, the company will have a total of 30 workers in 2011.
Fasada sells building materials in Serbia, the countries of former Yugoslavia, and in Romania, and they also hope to enter new markets soon.

For the exceptional business results and significant contribution to the development of our country's economy, Fasada won 2010 ProBusiness Leader award, granted by ProCredit Bank, in the category of small enterprises.
Although Fasada exists under its current name for more than 13 years, its beginnings dates back to the first half of the last century. The brothers Dobrosav and Tihomir Topalovic formed the workshop Kvarc in Trstenik in 1932. After the end of the war, in 1945, Kvarc was moved from Trstenik to Osijek where the working conditions were much better for private companies. Dobrosav Topalovic, one of the founders of Kvarc, formed a new company - Silex, in 1947, which became famous all around Yugoslavia shortly after it was established. The product portfolio included milling stones and ground stones, as well as decorative mortars for facade finishing, which are now produced under the name of Hirofa. Hirofa was very popular material at the time and it was used in many colors to decorate numerous facades.
In the period 1985 - 1990, the company expended the product portfolio by introducing the products known under the names of Dulit and Dulit G, but the company ceased to exist in 1991 because of the events following the breakup of SFRY.
Dusan Topalovic and Milos Pralica resumed the tradition and form the company Fasada in Simanovci. The company was moved to Stara Pazova in 1993 where it quickly developed into one of the most significant manufacturers in the region.
Fasada produces the decorative mortars and bases Dulit, Dulit G, Dulit R, Esfas, Fasaplast F, Fasaplast R, Hirofa, Kulir fasada, Sevilja 0, Sevilja 1, Sevilja 2, decorative coatings, construction adhesives, coatings for walls, as well as acrylic semitransparent bases for decorative thin-layer acrylic and mineral colored mortars.
