Basketball Player Boban Marjanovic and Company JUB in Joint Humanitarian Campaign to Reconstruct Elementary School in Boljevac

With this year’s humanitarian campaign, the company JUB made sure to have the interior of the elementary school in Boljevac repaired in terms of energy efficiency. Boljevac is the place where Boban Marjanovic, a member of the Serbian national basketball team and world-renowned player, who has successfully played in the NBA for several years now, was born and started his career.

This 224-cm tall player in the center position supported the humanitarian project socializing with local pupils and thereby, in cooperation with the company JUB, contributed to the working and living conditions in the reconstructed classrooms for as many as 450 pupils of this school, which he attended himself from 1995 to 2003.

From now on, the façade surface of this education institution will feature a gorgeous mural painted by the artist Marija Savic. With its dynamics, the mural carries the message “All the roads lead to school”.

At the event, Marjanovic was joined by numerous pupils, who also competed for the numerous great JUPOL awards. At the gathering, JUB had prepared entertainment contest for them with basketball as the topic, and they also competed in painting and creating varied color motifs using JUPOL paints and DIPI products for shading.

The school in Boljevac, which opened in 1954, needed an efficient energy repair after many years due to the financial limitations in the maintenance of the facility. The parent school, within which 12 dislocated units operate, made sure to have the windows changed during the summer recess, and at the suggestion of JUB, it also supported the preparation of the mural on the school’s façade. For the purpose of having the school renovated and the façade mural painted within this year’s humanitarian campaign, JUB secured all the necessary quantities of sustainable building materials from its production program, such as high-quality paints and coating from the JUPOL family, which are environmentally friendly and also certified for the European market. Among the products are also masses for evening out and coatings for protection from algae and mold, which had appeared inside the school’s interior spaces due to the humidity.

In addition to masses for evening out and coatings, in renovating the space of the elementary school, JUB used the paint pallet from the JUPOL product family. All JUB paints are water-based, making them health- and environment-friendly, while at the same time simple to use and maintain. For the first, refreshing painting, JUPOL Plus was used, and for a more serious painting of classroom walls, the highly-washable JUPOL Gold was used. The walls were protected from mold by the JUPOL Citro paint, and the hardcore stains were painted over using JUPOL Block. JUPOL Amicol was used for the walls in toilets and other rooms that are very busy, where bacteria and wall molds develop easily. For the preparation of the mural, the color shades, prepared by using the JUMIX shading system in line with the color study, were complemented by DIPI shading products, whose characteristics give shades a high intensity.

Humanitarian activities built into DNA of JUB Group and company JUB Serbia
