Zrenjanin Needs Private Partner for Job of Restoration and Closing of City Landfill Worth EUR 36 Million

The City of Zrenjanin has initiated the procedure of the selection of a private partner for the financing and execution of the works on the restoration, remediation and closing of the city landfill.

A part of the job is the building of a sanitary cassette.

According to the public invitation, the agreement is signed for 25 years.

The tender is open until October 18.

Let us remind that the City Assembly of Zrenjanin confirmed, this June, the proposition of the decision on the adoption of this project, whose investment value is EUR 36 million.

As said at the time, the project is supposed to permanently solve the problem of the current landfill, given that it pollutes ground and surface waters and the surrounding agricultural land and that it emits unpleasant smells.
