The minimum wage in Serbia, from January next year, will be RSD 230 per hour, that is, RSD 40,020 per month, stated Serbian Finance Minister Sinisa Mali.

At the press conference following the session of the Social-Economic Council, he said that it was the biggest minimum wage increase in terms of percentages up till then, amounting to 14.3%.

At the session of the Social-Economic Council, the requests of the representative trade unions for the minimum wage to be set twice a year were not accepted.

– We tried to balance between the requests of the trade unions and the employers – Mali said.
