Kovin to Expand Business Zone – Another 20 ha for Small Companies in Future Port Location

The early public review of the Detailed Regulation Plan of Block 120 of the business zone in Kovic was recently finished in the Municipality of Kovin. According to the GRP for the populated location Kovin, the unit 120 is located within the future port, except that this part of Block 120, with an area of 20 hectares, will be a business-industrial-economic-production zone.

The construction parcels are located in the south part of Kovin, in the direction toward the Danube river and Smederevo, and they are an extension of the business zone of Block 119 in Kovin.

According to the study prepared by the PE Urbanizam Pancevo, the plan is to build all types of business and production facilities for small and medium enterprises, that is, all types of purposes from the field of “small economy”.

This primarily pertains to trade, crafts, hospitality, mills, production of construction materials, agricultural production, metal processing, wood processing, electronic and textile industry, fair spaces, warehouses, storage facilities, distribution centers, technology parks…

The establishment of the protective greenery belt 5 meters wide in this zone is mandatory.

According to the study, for the purposes of the business zone, around 60,760 m2 of traffic routes for heavy vehicles and around 14,505 m2 of sidewalks with modern surfaces need to be built.

A bridge at least 10 meters wide is planned to be built across the open canal in the complex, through which a traffic route passes.
