The Government of Serbia has approved the expansion of Free Zone Novi Sad by another 55 hectares, to the land on which the factories of the companies Continental, near Kac, and Nidec, in the Business Zone North IV, are being built.

With the expansion of the zone, the companies which operate in these locations will be freed of the customs on the import of goods, raw materials for the production, the equipment and the materials that are used in the production. Furthermore, they will be exempt from paying the taxes on certain services.

For years now, it has been the practice of the Government of Serbia to create better conditions for doing business for the investors that come to Novi Sad.

So far, these have included Barry Callebaut, the facility of CTP Gamma which houses Lear, Naftna Industrija Srbije and the Pobeda complex in Petrovaradin.

With the new 55 hectares, Free Zone Novi Sad will enlarge considerably, because so far, it has encompassed slightly over 113 hectares of land.
